About NEAO

The Northeast Asian Open was first launched as the "Pan Pacific English Debate Championship" in 2003. In 2004, the championship was renamed to "Northeast Asian Open", and the tournament format changed from a 2-on-2 North American Style to a 3-on-3 Asian Style. Ever since the start of the tournament, numerous institutions from the northeast asian region joined together in order to promote parliamentary debate within the region.
