We switched the accommodation facility from a hotel to a hostel, and cut the social event in order to lower the registration fee.

Registration Dates

Phase 1(registration period): July 26 - September 13

Phase 2(payment period): September 21 - October 12

Late Registration: TBA (only if the team cap is not full)

note: the registration fee applies to both debaters and adjudicators.

Number of Adjudicators

The N-1 rule will be enforced.

Please try to send judges who have a lot of experience in judging asian-style debate.

Team Cap

Each institution may send a maximum of 3 teams. However, once late registation starts, the maximum number of teams an institution may send will be increased to 5. The total team cap is expected to be 50. Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Teams must be composed of undergraduate and graduate students.

Composite teams will only be allowed if the university squad just started debating and does not have enough members. However, there will be an examination process to determine whether the team is legitimate.

Registration Process

1. During Phase 1(7.26-9.13), e-mail us at neao2008[at]gmail.com, and tell us your name and institution, and attatch the registration form.Please send one form per institution.

2. During Phase 2(9.21-10.12), send us the fee via wire tranfer. The bank information are as follows:

3. After paying your fee, e-mail us at neao2008[at]gmail.com, and tell us your name and institution, and the amount of money you transfered. Attatch a copy of the wire slip to the e-mail you send. We will not cover transaction costs.

4. Once we have confirmed your payment, we will e-mail you to notify that your slot has been confirmed.
